    Unhappy Galaxy S7 CSC change

    Hi,
Not been on the modding scene for a few years!
Ive bought an S7 as my S6 decided to take a swim!

i bought it online, ( i regret already)
Its a device from the Netherlands on the EE network.
i would like to change to the Uk's BTU software and then possibly to EE's (EVR) if wifi calling is not available in BTU.

Is there a complete guide for changing the CSC and firmware ? Ive got a Stock UN-rooted S7 on Baseband G930FXXU1APBD

any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Ben

First of all you will not get wifi calling with BTU firmware.
For EE wifi calling you will need the EVR firmware installed.

The S7 firmware unzips into 5 files.
You will need BL + AP + CP + CSC

This will repartition your phone memory and install the firmware.

What I am not sure of is whether the firmware is multi -cs.
If it is then you may not get the EVR code, but may retain the Netherlands EE code (in other words make no change)

For a definitive answer can you contact our technical moderator and ask what csc code you will get.

I cannot see wifi calling with a BTU firmware, as the option is activated through the firmware - but I may be wrong.

    Root is not required.
To change firmware you install with Odin.

Check out this marshmallow install with PIT file that I wrote.
A useful Odin install video will refresh your memory of the process..

I get usingreat odin and flashing the separate files... but never used a pit file before... does that effectively combine some of the other files..

Yes the CSC includes the PIT file to install the firmware.
This is only required if you are changing to another country or network firmware.

If you are keeping the same firmware then update OTA or with SmartSwitch.
