    Hi everyone

Am facing the same problem with ny note 4 since couple of months. At first the phone needed few attempts to get it to boot, then got mmc read failed error popped from times to times, and then it became hard to get pass thru it, needed to take out battery dozens and then even hundred times and leaving it out for couple minutes until finally it just didn't want to boot at all.

Then Ieft battery out couple of days, did put it back in without any hope and it suddenly did want to boot normally.... But I found out that when the phone goes to idle it just doesn't want to power on again so I have to leave music playing on it all the time so that it never gets in sleep mode at all....

Any idea if this would be the mmc or the power ic? And about how much would these cost to repair in a repair center? Would they say they need to change the motherboard and therefor charge for more than half of the phone's fullprice??

    Thanks for helping!

Either your battery or your phone memory is failing.
Try re-calibrating your phone charging chip.
    Do this:
    1. Use phone until it turns itself off.
    2. With phone turned off, fully charge the phone.
    3. Restart phone and use again until it turns itself off.
    4. With phone turned off, fully charge the phone.

This should ensure that when charging your phone is charged to 100%.

Ok, it is trying to unwind what you have already done.

If your phone had an OTA then it should also update via SmartSwitch, although using a PIT file may prevent this until you flash the PIT for the original firmware.

So, try and re-install your firmware using your phone serial number and phone in download mode as in post #2 here.
[ Login above or register to see download links. ]

If that does not work, then connect to Kies to install your original firmware (if you don't know it)

    The Kies procedure is here:
[ Login above or register to see download links. ]

NOTE: If Kies does not work then carry out the procedure again with your phone battery OUT.
You will again need your phone model and serial number.
When you get to the firmware link press CANCEL and let me know what it says.
