Post Help! Galaxy S5 G900F no lollipop update available

    Hi Everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F with the baseband version G900FXXU1ANCE. My phone's running on 4.4.2 ever since i got it and the lollipop update has been out for i dont know how long. But whenever i go to the device's settings and go to auto update , it always says "Latest updates have already been installed'. The same thing happens when I connect it with Samsung Kies. I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy series and i need help to get it updated to Lollipop. Please help me. Thank you.

Your firmware is probably more than one update behind.
In this case, Kies will not offer an update.

Try using the new Kies (SmartSwitch) to install the latest firmware for your phone.

    Download and video tutorial here:

I watched the video and installed the SmartSwitch but in the video the guy selects the option 'more' and then further goes on to the update tab. I don't have that option. I only have backup, restore, sync and just that option with the downward arrow which shows my phone's information. I'm using a Mac btw, do you think the problem is because of the mac? Because i can't see the update initialization option anywhere.

OK. Did it give you your firmware and the phone csc code?
It's the 3 letters after the firmware.

If you know that, you can find your firmware update here and install with Odin.

I tried to update it using the SmartSwitch but it said 'This device cannot be updated' or something like that.

I did the *#1234# thing and it says
    AP : G900FXXU1ANC9
    CP : G900FXXU1ANCE
    CSC: G900FOJV1ANCD

So the link you sent me which contains the firmwares, will any of them work on mine or should there be a specific one according to my CSC? If it's according to the same CSC then i can't find it in those firmware list. And if How do i install a firmware? I'm sorry, i'm new to all this.

Unfortunately that only gives a regional identification.
In the CSC are the letters OJV.
OJV is the Samsung code for the Middle East and Africa.

To get your phone Original csc code
Can you install this app and post:
    Product Code
    Original CSC code
    Active CSC code
    PDA version
    CSC version
    Baseband version
    Android version
    Mobile operator

    Product Code: Not Active
    Original CSC code : XSG
    Active CSC code: XSG
    PDA version: G900FXXU1ANC9
    CSC version : G900FOJV1ANCD
    Baseband version: G900FXXU1ANCE
    Andriod version: 4.4.2
    Mobile Operator: Ufone / 41003

I dont why it says 'Not Active' for product code. What does it mean?

What that means is your firmware is not correct.
Your baseband does not match the rest of your firmware.

    Do you know why?
Was it like this when you bought the phone or have you made changes?
Is the phone rooted - do you have a Superuser app?

Check under the battery for your phone model number.
