    Returned to N8010 and JB!!

After downloading the leaked German N8000 KK firmware onto my N8010 I discovered that the firmware had reassigned my N8010 as an N8000! Even when the official N8010 KK firmware was released a few weeks ago my [now] N8000 wouldn't allow me to install the official N8010 firmware using the desktop version of Odin.

However thanks to Mobile Odin I've now restored my N8000 back to it's original N8010 status and restored the JB firmware which to be honest I think runs more smoothly than KK (or it may be just my imagination!). The screen swiping appears to be a lot smoother.

So a big thumbs up to Mobile Odin.

For other members, do I take it that the process was:
    1. Root your phone
Did you use an N8000 4.4.2 root method such as this?
    http://true-android.blogspot.com/201...42-kitkat.html
    Or other?

    2. Install Mobile Odin

    3. Download an N8010 JB (4.1.2) firmware or KitKat (4.4.2)
    Top 10 latest N8010 firmware here;

    4. Install with Mobile Odin.

Is that about it or were there other steps?

    Hi

TBH I cannot recall the rooting procedure I undertook but I've found this file on my computer....CF-Auto-Root-p4noterf-p4noterfxx-gtn8000.zip.....if that means anything. I have now a Superuser icon on my tablet so I must have rooted and have downloaded a Rootcheck app from the Play Store.

The rest of you assumptions are true except that the JB firmware that I downloaded from SamMobile was the 4.1.2 version not the 4.3 version.

Out of interest is there a JB version 4.3 available for the N8010 on SamMobile for download?

Mobile Odin roots automatically and therefore you will have superuser.

Sorry, didn't look at Android versions for the N8010.
It jumped from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2
    4.3 was missed out.

(Edited my post to show this)

Hopefully this method will assist others who want to restore their tablets back to its original status and go back to JB, even though you can flash the KK firmware if you want but as I've observed JB appears somewhat smoother when you swipe between homescreens and scroll through pictures; but this may be my imagination!!

Forgot to ask can you use Mobile Odin to flash the Gnabo ROM if one was so inclined?

Mobile odin is like Odin and only can install .tar.md5 file format.

I do not know the Gnabo rom, but guess it's a custom rom that will be installed via a Custom Recovery.
If interested in doing this, install ROM manager and then install a Touch ClockWorkModRecovery (CWM)

Did anyone tested to go back from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 over mobile odin and havent the battery error? If anybody could say yes I would root my note and do the same, else there is no sense to root und go back to 4.1.2 I think so.
