This is usually a process fault.
    Check :
    1. Using correct USB lead as supplied by Samsung.
    2. Connecting directly to USB port of computer not through a USB hub.
    3. Try another USB port on PC.
    4. Make sure Kies is not running.
    5. Make sure any pc antivirus is not blocking the install.
    6. Try another Odin version. Odin 1.85 is reliable.

Set Odin to Re-partition and turn off Auto restart.
Now flash the PIT file only.

    On completion reset Odin:
Turn off Re-partition and select Auto- restart
Now select the Firmware to flash.

If the same problem you may need to replace the emmc/memory.

    Hi all,
    I have the following phone:
    Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
    FCC ID: A3LGTI9300A
    SSN: I9300GSMH
    SN: rf1c80egv4m

For a while my phone wont boot up and I have a fuzzy screen ( something like this: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]). When I try to add the pit file to the phone I get the following log:
    <ID:0/004> Added!!
    <ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
    <ID:0/004> File analysis..
    <ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
    <ID:0/004> Initialzation..
    <ID:0/004> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/004> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
    <ID:0/004> FAIL!
    <ID:0/004>
    <ID:0/004> Re-Partition operation failed.
    <OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

    I use Odin 3.0.9.
Now, I read a thread on some forum, and noticed that you may get this error if you're not using the right pit file.
To be honest I didn't find too many details about pit files. My samsung is the 16 gb version, from Orange Romania.
I want to get it back to its original state. Any help is welcomed!
    Thanks in advance

You need an I9300 PIT file.
    Which one did you use?

There is a big chance that your phone memory has died.

    I used two files:
one named mx.pit, and the 2nd one named: GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit
Could someone provide me a link for the correct pit file and firmware?
