    Galaxy N9002 dual sim

Mr. Greenman. Question, I brother-inlaw lives in Nicaragua, central america and wants to by the 9002 dual sim. If he buys it at amazon, I can I be sure that it will work in his country?

If you want a guarantee that a Samsung device will work in a region, then buy the phone in that region.

The SM-N9002 is a Chinese spec phone, so first of all will not have Google services.

To give a more accurate answer, we need to know which network your brother- in-law plans to connect to. We can then see if the SM-N9002 supports those frequencies.

Now the other question is, I heard that if the phone is made for somewhere else and you install a sim that does not go with it, it can brick it. Is that true and if not, he can buy it at amazon I will take it to him and install the sims there and it will work perfect? By the way, thanks for all the answers that you do. I know I appreciate it a whole lot and I think that everyone else thanks you also.

Thank you for those kind words.
    Much appreciated.

As far as I can see the SM-N9002 supports the frequency bands in Nicaragua - so no issue there.

What problems you can get with the Chinese sorced devices is:
    1. No Google services - Google Play Store being the one that most people want to have.
    2. Difficult to change the firmware - this is where you run into trouble with loss of network due to corruption of te EFS folder and IMEI number.
This is partly due to to firmware locks imposed by the Chinese authorities (to stop access to Google) and the new region code locks that samsung have introduced in the Note 3.
    3. Limited language availability.

On this basis, I would not consider the SM-N9002 to be a good purchase out of the China region.

Not really the best as I have got this one wrong.

Sorry, having looked at a YouTube on the N9002, my initial concerns seem not to be supported.
It does appear to have both Play Store and a wide range of languages available.

On that basis, I see no reason why you should not purchase this phone - in fact I would purchase one myself.

Gogle Play does not come 'native ' to the N9002 but can be installed.
