IMEI lost, I9003 goes to 0049xxxxxxx IMEI

    Hi,

I accidentally mark ERASE EFS partition when i flash ginger rom.

So my phone IMEI goes to 000000, y root, remove efs folder, reboot phone and then the IMEI goes 0049xxxxx that generic IMEI that cannot connect to networks.

I want to change it to the IMEI on the back of the phone, but i cannot do it.

I try NV-items reader writer, but no luck.

Can anyone give me a method to restore the original IMEI.

    thanks

Your phone has to be unlocked to any network before you can install a non network firmware.

If you can get into download mode, first of all try reinstalling your previous firmware with Odin.

my phone was unlocked a time ago... if i put the code to get the locks it says that is unlocked, but when i erase the efs, the IMEI goes 0000000.
Now has 0049999xxxx the IMEI generic, but i dont have the .nv_data to restore the original imei, i want to modify the nv_data.bin, but was only FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF in hex editor..

Have you tried to install a non network firmware on a network locked phone?

If so, try to install an original firmware.

    hello reddysmani
you can try the kies method
don't connect your phone to your computer in first, open kies/tools/firmware upgrade and initialisation / enter your model name(GT-I9003)/enter the S/N number(on your phone under the battery/ and follow kies for coming back to original firmware
    best regards
