    Angry Downloaded firmware Shows tar.md5 file

    How to use tar.md5 file in Odin ??
    Can't extract

    What is your operating system? (Windows, Linux, Mac)

    Did you downloaded any software to extract compressed files? (for instance : 7zip)

    If you download a tar.md5 file, you DO NOT extract that.
    Open Odin and go to pda; click on that and look up where you got the tar.md5 file, that will be inported into Odin. Give it time because the digital signature (md5) is being checked. If its FW put your phone into download mode (power + homebutton+ volumebutton down); connect thru cable and in odin you should see a com(port) being found
    Then click on start and let it do its thing

    TAR is the compressing Mode md5 is the digital signature
    Using FreeBSD, that is a common way of compressing; same as .tgz, .bzip2, compress...etc...
