"Complete(Write) operation failed" while trying to flash a new ROM

    Hello,

I was trying to flash a new ROM on my device (Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F), but faced with the following error in Odin:

    <ID:0/006> Added!!
    <ID:0/006> Odin engine v(ID:3.1100)..
    <ID:0/006> File analysis..
    <ID:0/006> SetupConnection..
    <ID:0/006> Initialzation..
    <ID:0/006> Get PIT for mapping..
    <ID:0/006> Firmware update start..
    <ID:0/006> SingleDownload.
    <ID:0/006> sboot.bin
    <ID:0/006> NAND Write Start!!

    <ID:0/006> modem.bin
    <ID:0/006> cache.img
    <ID:0/006> hidden.img
    <ID:0/006> FAIL!
    <ID:0/006>
    <ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.

I have installed USB drivers for Galaxy Alpha
    I ran Odin as administrator
I tried different USB ports on my laptop
I tried another ROM but got the same error...

Any ideas about how to fix it?

By the way, I'm using a firmware for another country and wanted to update from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2

Odin is failing at hidden. img
This usually means that you are trying to install the wrong firmware for your phone, and probably a network version.

Network firmware is bigger and needs more memory and therefore a bigger system partition.

Can you install this app and post:
    Product Code
    Original CSC code
    Active CSC code
    PDA version
    CSC version
    Baseband version
    Android version
    Mobile operator

Isn't it possible to use another country's ROM?

Sadly, it is not as easy as it used to be.
You can use any SM-850F firmware with OJV in the CSC code.
OJV is the firmware for the Middle East and Africa.

    Easy fix

Hi... You need to do the Pit File download with Odin 3.... Here is the file.

After doing this, your phone will be unbricked and you can flash again.

You have used a 4 file firmware.
Sammobile firmware usually unzips to one file.

Can you see if SmartSwitch will install your firmware as in post #2 here:

Have you tried putting your phone into Recovery Mode?
    Wipe cache
    Wipe data/factory reset
