There is no way to achieve what you want, without changing your phone.Quote:
If you have a G928I, then your firmware is here.Quote:
Choose a firmware with a PDA tge same or newer than the one on your phone.
SmartSwitch can reinstall the correct firmware for your phone.

Hi, my son has bought a G925F supposedly with EE UK firmware, however, it appears to have XEU firmware on it and therefore doesnt have EE Wi-Fi calling available. I have a little experience of flashing firmwares, so I have downloaded the 6.0.1 EVR firmware and the corresponding PIT file as I know it will need repartitioning, but the last time I did something like this the firmware file came in several different parts and had to be placed in the different ODIN slots seperately, but this new firmware is in 1 large file, can I just put that in the AP slot and put the PIT file in the PIT slot and tell it to repartition? Will this work? Dont want to brick Boy's phone if I can help it.
Thanks for any help or clarification.
You have the written correct procedure.
Upon completion put phone into Recovery mode to wipe cache then wipe data/factory reset.
This will complete the conversion.
However, I am not convinced that this will satisfy the EE criteria for activating WiFi calling.
Here is EE info on WiFi calling:

Tried it, unfortunately it failed, and has now locked it, and smart switch says the device doesnt support initializing. This isnt going well.
Ah.Quote:
You indicated that the phone was bought second hand.
This means that a Google account has been installed , but should have been removed before selling on.
Did the install go OK, but stopped at the Google account?
This would be the original Google password.
If this is the block then it is at FRP (Factory Reset Protection)
If this is not the problem and Odin failed, can you give the Odin log.
I didnt explain properly, Odin failed straight away, the phone is now stuck with the turquoise screen saying that an error has occurred and to use smart switch emergency recovery, but smart switch says that SM-G925F doesnt support initializing, so probably the phone was rooted (I never checked) and I don't have a code for the emergency recovery option. Pretty stuck at the moment, cant get it to shut down , can only get the error screen or into odin mode, might have to try flashing another firmware. Will I need to get another PIT file if I put the BTU or XEU firmware onto it (Or at least attempted to do so)
Thanks for the help.
Before going any further can you use the phone IMEI to check the Model version?

If it is G925F, then you will not need a PIT file to flash the BTU/XEU firmware, but the partition size will be bigger than it needs to be.
The PIT file is here:
SM-G925F OXA multi CSC ( BTU CPW DBT ITV KOR NEE XEF XEO XEU )
ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit

Its definitely a SM-G925F It states that on the back, no signs that its ever been replaced and it matches the serial number that I noted when the phone was working. So to flash the BTU firmware I won't need the PIT file? So it should just flash through odin, when the download finishes. Thanks very much for the help with this, I'd be pretty stuck without your help.

You won't believe how often I have been told that. :o
Hooray, thanks for the help, the BTU firmware went straight on. Phone is resurrected. Not doing it again, next time he can get one with the right firmware on it to start with.
Thanks again for helping out of the hole i was in.
I got an SGS6edge unlocked/sim free and wanted to install Vodafone UK firmware to use WiFi calling. Had the initial issues of ODIN not completing (failing after hidden.img) so eventually flashed with the ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN_HIDDEN200M PIT and the appropriate VFUK firmware. All worked but first time around after the reboot, had a message in a language that was not English! Translated to damaged storage. Did a full reset and all started up as normal but did not see the VF app and WiFi calling was not an available option in the phone dialler (is active on my account and works on a VF S6).
Did another reset and noticed that when the Multi-CSC is applied, it applies SIM which I believe is Slovakia!
Didn't want to root/use csc changer as some streaming apps won't work on rooted device and I'd like knox intact when I go to sell it.
Now flashed with BTU firmware and applied the ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN PIT - all looks fine but obviously won't get wifi calling.
Got me thinking tho, with the BTU PIT above, would I now be able to flash with VF firmware without applying VF Hidden200 PIT and as it is BTU now, would it select CSC: VOD when reset? I know, probably clutching at straws :-)
I could have saved you a lot of time.
When installing a multi-csc you get the default CSC set.
There is no way to avoid the SIM csc code, but you can try using the csc code changer short code:
Dial *#272*your imei#
NOTE:
This does not work in most firmware.
More on CSC's here:

You could have indeed saved me many hours work! However it did allow me to learn a little more about the flashing/CSC/pit process.
I don't really have much call to use WiFi calling but I could see it being really useful at times.
So I guess I either do the flash again, root, change CSC and hope that works or just wait/hope that VF allow WiFi calling in BTU. I know on my S7edge Nougat build, I flashed with Nougat and then used a beta1 CSC that had WiFi calling allowed for EE and VF! Now that would be good if we could do something like that on the S6e :-)
WiFi calling criteria is in the hands of the networks as you are using their network to get the service.
I think it unlikely that you will get a network service on BTU, unless a new provider comes into the market - such as India Reliance Jio who only use the LTE network and provide a VoLTE service to anyone with an eligible phone in India.
ihave A8 sm-a800yz with BRI csc. Can i flash the sm-a800f firmware ? if yes then tell me how? please help.
No.Quote:
So no need to answer the second part of your question. :o
reliance jio call is not connecting from when i have updated my phone to andriod 6.0.Quote:

PLEASE HELP BRO.
Go to Settings > More networks > Mobile networks
Check:
1. You have mobile data selected
2. Your network mode is LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto)
3.In Access Point Names (APN) you have Reliance Jio settings selected.
Hello Greenman, I have an SM-G935FD s7Edge with CSC code of XSE. I want to try the Nougat firmware. Is there a way to flash Nougat firmware (maybe BTU or INU) without factory reset? (I want all my app data to remain). Thanks in advance.
Not at the moment if you want to return to your XSE csc code.Quote:
Thank you for the fast reply! I am not planning to return to my XSE CSC Code. I just want to flash any Nougat firmware without wiping app data. Is there any way achieving this? Any CSC is okay. Thank you.Quote:
Still a no.Quote:
To install another firmware CSC is probably going to require a PIT file to re-size the system partition.
This procedure will wipe your phone.
Oh I see. I'll just backup my app data first then. Thank you greenman!Quote:
Also, which firmware do you recommend? BTU SM-G935F or the INS SM-G935FD? Cause my phone is SM-935FD.
Cheers,
TheBoxComp
If in India and want to use Reliance Jio VoLTE then install the INS firmware.
Download and unzip the firmware.
[ Login above or register to see download links. ]
Use BL + AP +CP + CSC
Odin Settings: Re-partition + F.Reset Time + Auto Reboot
If you decide to try the BTU firmware you may be able to without using the BTU PIT file as it is a 'small' firmware and will probably fit into your existing partition.
Download and unzip the firmware.
[ Login above or register to see download links. ]
Use BL + AP +CP + CSC
Odin Settings: F.Reset Time + Auto Reboot
Thank you very much Greenman!!! It really helps!Quote:
Btw, on the sammobile download page, why is there a note: "Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked"? Should I tick the re-Partition when installing the INS firmware?
The instruction is good if you are not changing CSC.
You are changing CSC and so the partition where the new csc firmware is to be installed will have to change.
This is the reason for using CSC and the Re-partition instruction.
Hi there, I flashed the BTU firmware on my s7 edge which was on XEU, but the CSC dd not change.
Smart switch says XEU (PLT)
I followed the steps as
Got the Firmware..
Got odin
Used the BL+AP+CP+CSC (not the home csc) from the extracted firmware
put the phone in download mode
Then started the flash
I put my phone to recovery mode after the installation and wiped cache, and factory reset it too.
Did i miss any steps?
Also will I get any further OTA updates ?
Depends which steps you followed.
XEU and BTU share the same firmware and so your csc will not change.
If you want a BTU csc then you would have to flash a totally different firmware and then flash the BTU.
Will i still receive OTA updates?
Nothing has changed (apart from apart from new firmware)Quote:
You will continue to receive OTA updates on XEU not on BTU.
Many thanks
Moved a while ago from Vodafone Romānia firmware to btu UK. I lost my volte and all hoping I will get 7.0 but ironically Vodafone Romānia released it first.
Can I go back to Vodafone Romānia with smartswitch or Odin?
Unfortunately no.Quote:
Vodafone use the same firmware throughout its networks.
This means that coming from a non Vodafone firmware you will get the default Vodafone code of Germany VD2.
I'm on H3G (UK Three branded, 6.0.1), wanting to flash to XEU 7.0. Is this possible? Will I lose the ability to update OTA? Can I go back if I wish to in future?
Many thanks
Both XEU and H3G are single csc, so you will have no problem going from one to the other.Quote:
After installing the XEU firmware, put phone into Recovery Mode to wipe cache then wipe data/ factory reset.
You will now get OTA updates.
