Samsung claim and advertised Tab S of type SM-T705 as LTE Tablet, buut until todate, there is no such option in the Mobile Network Mode. What happen, uncle Samsung ? Is it going to be available soon via firmware update ?

In the mean time, if you are to buy the tablet for utilising the LTEm you will be very disappointed like myself.

Ok this is your device a SM-T705;

Which is indeed an LTE capable device so no problems there.

I think you will find it is your Provider and your area of Indonesia that is probably causing you the problem, I done a little research, and 4G (LTE) is relatively new to Indonesia and is still very much on trial in Jakarta and surrounding Cities. The dates are October 2013 so the rollout for the remainder of Indo will not be fast.
Here is an extract;

During APEC meeting on October 1–8, 2013 in Bali, Telkomsel will conduct 4G LTE network trial. Telkomsel 4G LTE network will operate at 1800 MHz frequency. As part of the program it will sell "simPATI LTE Trial Edition" prepaid SIM card.[128]

Since November 2013, PT Internux, with brand Bolt 4G, has commercialized LTE 4G service using TDD-LTE. Initially, Bolt 4G is only available on 2300 MHz covering Jakarta and the surrounding cities.[129]

So you need to make sure you have 4G sim card and that you are in the area for 4G transmission/reception.

Also I would like to point out that the bolt 4G will use 2300mhz which only covers small area.
Your SM-T705 only operates up to 2100mhz for the 4G !!! (that is its physical limitation).

So hopefully your network provider will add more frequencies (the lower the frequency the greater the coverage).

Thank you for the response and indeed the SIM Card have been replaced by the provider with the one which is capable of handling the LTE Network, and during the replacement I noticed and asked why the Network Indicator on the Notification area is always only "H+" mwhile "4G" never showed up. They then showed me that the Network Mode menu do not have the LTE Option to choose, and this is why 4G never indicated on the notification area.

I then went to the Samsung Service Centre and been told that the particular model do not support the 4G/LTE, and due to this mis-information, I then email the Samsung id for clarification. They did responsed and stated that software/ firmware update is on the way, but no timeline could be given.

I then tried Firmware from other countries, H1 France, and J3 Rusia, but they all have the same Network Mode Menu, ie without the LTE option.

Telkomsel LTE Network Frequency is B8 (900MHz) and this can be verified via http://internet.telkomsel.com/4g-lte/ . The Samsung Tab S (SM-T705) was tested in the Telkomsel Store of which they showed myself with the Sony Z3 with 4G Indication on the network notification area.

Any one with other devices from Samsung please check your device Setting / More Networks / Mobile Networks / Network mode and please info back whether there is an Option of "LTE, WCDMA/GSDM, WCDMA only and GSM only" options available. Mine have only WCDMA/GSM, WCDMA only and GSM only.

Thank you in advance, Samsungfozzy, but mine has only single SIM card slot, other than that everything is according to the spec provided in the link you provide.

Thanks for your link, but I cannot find any data that says Telkomsel are using 900mhz for 4G (LTE) transmission can you show me where that is please, as I have conflicting information as regards 4G (LTE) transmission frequencies. I have them down for 1800mhz, and bolt for 2300mhz.

The Sony Z3 has 5 devices available for 4G (LTE) do you know which one you were shown ? was it this one ?

Is your device rooted ?

Have tried to reinstalled the ROM to F8 Indonesia version this morning without root, then set the Network Mode via *#2236#, and after resetting the Tab S, the 4G indicator already appear on the Indicator. Then tried to root the tablet with the CF Auto Root and the 4G is still there.

As for the Frequency, it was confirmed that it was set at B8 (900MHz) via *#0011#

Athough this is not the prefered way to set the LTE, but at least it is a temporary solution. Sad though it is not from Samsung at all.

Thank you for the advise and assistance.
