We exclusively reported back in February that Samsung is working on new budget tablets that will be released later this year. A few weeks back we came across a new 9.7-inch tablet that's currently in the pipeline, it seems to be one of the budget tablets that Samsung has lined up for 2015. The specifications of the tablet, model number SM-T561, have already appeared online through GFXBench and now the tablet has received its Bluetooth certification.

The Bluetooth certification document reveals that this tablet has Bluetooth 4.0, there's not much else mentioned in it. Usually Bluetooth certification is taken as an indication that the device is nearing launch and this has proved to be true on several occasions, so it's likely that Samsung might be unveiling this tablet in the near future. SM-T561 has a 9.7-inch display with 1,290×800 pixel resolution, a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8330 processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The GFXBench listing for this device mentioned no cameras which suggested that back then it was in early stages of development, it's likely that the SM-T561 will come running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
