Android Lollipop rolling out to Galaxy S5 in more European countries

The Galaxy S5 was the first Samsung device to start getting updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but the rollout was initially limited to Poland, where the S5 has received multiple minor updates after the initial Android 5.0 update, and to South Korea. Now, Samsung seems ready to make Lollipop available to Galaxy S5 users in more regions, as the update is now rolling out to the device (SM-G900F) in Spain. Over the next couple of weeks, it should start making its way to more countries in Europe and to other continents as well, after which Samsung will hopefully turn its attention to the Galaxy Note 4 and other devices.

As a refresher, Lollipop brings a slew of enhancements to the table, including improved performance, a refreshed visual design in Samsung apps and the general user interface, losckreen notifications, better battery life, multi user and guest mode support on phones, support for 64-bit CPUs, and more. Interested users can download the full firmware from our firmware section, or just wait it out until the update's notification makes an appearance on their Galaxy S5.
