Samsung launched the Gear S, its fourth smartwatch in a year, at the Galaxy Note 4 UNPACKED event yesterday, and today, the company has released a new version of the Gear SDK for developers with support for the new smartwatch. The Gear S won't go on sale for a few more weeks, but early access to the SDK should help developers get their apps ready in time for the watch's market release. As any sensible person would tell you, Samsung's plethora of smartwatches have little future without a good developer community to back it up, and the launch of the SDK should help Samsung see its app store for wearables grow beyond the 1,000 or so apps that it currently offers to users.
If you're a developer, head over to the source link to grab the SDK.
