EXCLUSIVE: Samsung SM-T800 10.5″ AMOLED tablet specs

We came up with exclusive info on Samsung’s upcoming AMOLED tablets recently, including their screen resolution and model numbers, and now we’ve got another exclusive scoop that reveals the entire spec sheet of the company’s 10.5-inch AMOLED tablet, the SM-T800, which is the Wi-Fi-only model. The SM-T800 will sport a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display of 2560×1600 resolution, and will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor (likely the S801) accompanied by 2GB of RAM. As with the recent Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablets, it will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, and as we’ve said earlier, could come with features like Ultra Power Saving Mode.

Other specs include 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras, 16/32/64GB of storage and a microSD slot, USB 2.0 connectivity, and a 7,900 mAh battery. As benchmarks revealed, there could be an Exynos-powered variant as well for some markets, though it’s a bit odd that the Wi-Fi-only model is sporting a Snapdragon chip while the LTE model was listed as having an Exynos model, though that was likely an error that should sort itself out as we move closer and closer to the official unveil.

Sadly, there’s still no word on when the official announcement is supposed to take place, but hopefully we’ll be able to get all those details soon.

I really hope Samsung finally comes out with an full HD Super Amoled tablet, I’ve been waiting for this quality tablet since the release of the 7.7. Nothing is better for screen quality! I’d rather pay extra for quality than getting an full HD screen that appears washed out like all the tablet screens avaliable except the iPad Air. And I hope they stick with the design of the Tab Pro and Note 3 with it’s more squared off sides and leather like back. Best back I’ve seen and used on a device, great feel and great to hold, doesn’t… Read more »

Been waiting on an AMOLED tablet since december. I couldn’t wait any longer and ended up going with the Note 10.1 2014 and love it after some tweaking. Great screen etc and have grown to LOVE the S Pen for writing for school purposes. I will get this AMOLED tablet the second it’s available but it would be an extra plus if they made a note version, as the S Pen has proven quite useful. For handwriting I guess I could use a capacitive stylus if there’s no note version, but with an active stylus, not having to worry about… Read more »
