” Galaxy Note II to use a 5.5” Ultra thin flexible AMOLED screen ”

The KoreanTimes: The Galaxy Note II will use a 5.5 ultra-thin flexible AMOLED screen.
The AMOLED in question uses an unbreakable Plane (UBP) and plastic substrate helping it reduce its thickness by 0.4mm. This may not sound like much, but on a 5.5″ screen, the space saved is enough for Samsung to employ a far larger battery without making the Note 2 any thicker than its predecessor.
If everything goes right Samsung will show the Galaxy Note II at IFA 2012. Under codename GT-N7100.
The Galaxy Note II will run on Android 4.0 or 4.1. Samsung’s test software for the Galaxy Note II is still  Android 4.0.4.
We of SamMobile will go to IFA in the weekend of September 1 and 2.

AMOLED is the future of the display industry highlighting its flexibility and transparency. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2, expected to be released next month, uses a 5.5 inch flexible display, a step forward to extending Samsung’s lead over its rivals. The product utilizes Unbreakable Plane (UBP) and plastic substrate that reduces thickness by 0.4T (0.4mm), consequently increasing battery capacity.

Yes sir I will be purchasing this device to pair with my Galaxy S3. That means I will have the best 2 devices on the market. Might even get the Next Nexus too as long as Samsung makes it.

After all the hype i was in when galaxy S3 was waiting for unveil, i actually hardly believe any of those. When i saw rumor about S3 i was really excited and now for Note 2, im taking all those rumors like they are fake, sadly but S3 hype did that to me^^. However IF or IF NOT note 2 suprises, ill just stick with my S3, since note is waaaaaay too big for me (however just personal preference)

Hope they put an anti-glare coating on the glass
That would reduce the need to turn up the AMOLED brightness

If it turns out that Sammy will delight us with a 1920×1080 NON-PenTile 5.5″ UBP screen in the NoteII, then I’m getting one… Actually if the screen is NOT UBP, and only 1280×720 and PenTile, then I’ll probably get one anyway, since it’ll clock faster than the GSIII (if rumours are to be believed!)…
I’m having a REALLY hard time just waiting for 3 weeks right now… Isn’t it odd that so far NO pictures have ‘leaked’ online of the NoteII, and no photos FROM the phone have been posted anywhere online… Obviously Sammy has been paying attention to where/how leaks happened with the GSIII, and clamped down… which hopefully means they have a BIG reveal on the 29th that could indeed make people overlook the iPhone5 launch… Perhaps Sammy are really learning how to wow without being seen to copy Apple…
