Earlier this year, Samsung had unveiled its first portable projector, The Freestyle. A few days ago, the company started teasing its India launch. Today, the Freestyle has been launched in India, and it's available through Samsung's online store and Amazon.in.

The Freestyle is priced at INR 84,990 (around $1,113), which is higher than the US pricing of $999. The company is offering a carrying case (The Freestyle Case) for the projector worth INR 5,900 for free. Amazon is offering a discount of INR 2,000 on The Freestyle, and if you use an HDFC Bank credit card or debit card to purchase the device, you can get a cashback of INR 5,000.

The Freestyle is a portable projector with a 180-degree rotatable lens and a DLP light source. It can project up to a 100-inch picture on the wall with Full HD resolution, HDR10, and HLG. It also features autofocus, auto keystone correction, and auto color calibration for a more straightforward setup process. It runs Tizen OS, which means you get access to all the audio and video streaming apps without needing a separate device.

It features AirPlay 2, Miracast, and Tap View for screen mirroring. With Samsung TV Access, you can wirelessly stream videos played on your Samsung TV to The Freestyle.

It also features an HDMI port, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port (for power). Other features include Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health, and SmartThings. It is quite portable (102.4 x 172.8 x 95.2mm) and weighs just 0.8kg.
