SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE S5830i failed to boot after firmware update

    Hi all,
I'm really new here and new to this stuff but I'm really stuck here and I need help....I tried to update my Galaxy ace S5830i 2.3.6 with 2.3.7 Gingerbread. But failed to boot up again. Unfortunately I had not backed up. I have tried to flush it with custom Rom but with no success. So I decided to reload the official 2.3.6 OS. But still stuck at boot.

    Thanks
    Gerald

If it stuck (eg boot anim loop) then do this:

    - remove battery
    - resinsert battery, wait 30 sec
    - press Vol Up, Home, Power at the same time
    - when logo appears, release the Power button
    - when Recovery menu appears, release the Home button first, then finally Vol Up
    - select wipe data/factory reset (Vol UP/Down + Home)
    - select reboot system now

    Thanks,
I have gone through all the steps given but still doesn't go into recovery mode. It can go into download mode but not recovery mode. I have restarted it a couple of times but still gets stuck,

If you can get into download mode then try flashing the firmware again.

or have a look here for a hard reset:

The hard reset has not yielded any results....I have tried flashing it with the official Firmware files but still no results. The good news is I managed to get to recovery mode but it takes 5-10 minutes after letting go of the Volume up + Power + Home buttons. I have tried wiping cache/data, I get the following errors; Invalid argument E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command

    And when I go into recovery mode the following error is generated;

    ----Appling Muti CSC---
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
    E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
    E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

I'm kinda stuck....not sure how to proceed...The factory reset seems not to be working....Thanks in advance

Did you try flashing the firmware through Odin in download mode?

Hi there.. If you were trying to flash custom firmware on 5830i then u went to wrong step there are no custom roms available for 5830i.. They are for 5830.

Now the solution Download Official Firmware from [ Login above or register to see download links. ]

But thats not enough The file you'll Get from here is not flashable. Its an issue with low end devices..

You have to use SplitFus to Split the file you download (firmware) into 3 Parts..

After that Reboot Your Phone into Download mode and flash via odin.

Note: Dont forget to check odin version Compatible for Your Device..

    Thanks

SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE S5830i failed to boot after firmware update

    Thanks all for the advice,
Certainly I had gone wrong. I was flashing the phone with a one package firmware and this wasn't working. I got a SplitFus and split the single package into three packages but still this didn't work. Thank God, I got the three firmware packages I needed from the following location: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]

But now, I have another issue. After successfully restoring my phone, the IMEI, WiFi and Bluetooth address are messed up. How do I restore particularly my IMEI?

You need to check that you have an efs backup. That's where your imei is stored.
Failing that, then you are in trouble.
    Sorry,can't be of more help.
