SOLVED: For whatever reason the Client liked COM6. Phone is now unlocked.
Client cannot talk to Samsung i727.
Stock AT&T firmware except is unlocked and has CWM Recovery Touch loader.
Samsung USB drivers installed from latest version
*#7284# shows options: UART Modem/PDA USB Modem/PDA
I tried all 4 combinations. I think "Modem" for both should be correct.
*#9090# shows: Diag Config [1]USB[*] [2]UART[] [3]DBG MSG ON[] [4]DBG MSG OFF[*]
PC Device Manager shows two Samsung devices. Neither have a "DIAG" in their names.
Their current names are:
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Serial Port (COM10)
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Serial Port (COM9)
I tried unplugging all other USBs (except mouse), and then RESCAN, and then manually setting ports, and finally changing ports via advanced option to COM1, COM2, COM5, COM8 and now COM10.
I could not find a combination that allows client and device to communicate.
The Client settings for COM and MODEM seem to be out of touch with what the PC says.
It must be something simple that is wrong.
Can anyone suggest what to do?
Thanks,
John
