I found a way to flash the single PDA-file.
The trick is to split-up the single file in a MODEM, CSC and PDA file. This can be done with the [ Login above or register to see download links. ]' developed by Dokey73 on XDA.
Download links and instructions are provided in the tread. Simply put for windows users: Install 'cygwin' a linux terminal emulator with some plugins. Place the program 'Splitfus' and the firmware-PDAin the installation dir. Execute the program and you will receive three files you can flash with Odin.
I have done so succesfully with B5510BVLD1_B5510AMNKJ2_B5510BVLD1_HOME.tar.md5. And flashing the three produced files.
I've done this by using the following command for starting Splitfus without parameters:
Code:
splitfus2.exe B5510BVLD1_B5510AMNKJ2_B5510BVLD1_HOME.tar.md5
and flashed WITHOUT any pit or BOOT files and didn't select re-partition.
(this is also mentioned in the released readme.txt when you split the PDA file)
- The first time I received an error message 'can't open file' in cygwin. --> reinstall cygwin and select the plugins for installation that give support for tar/zip/md5
- Easy way to get things working is to place the Splitfus2.exe in the BIN folder in the installation folder of cygwin. And place the _base folder with userdata.img in the HOME\user folder of the cygwin installation folder. Place your Firmware file in the same HOME\user folder and you're good to go
I have succesfully flashed the splitup:
Code:
B5510BVLD1_B5510AMNKJ2_B5510BVLD1_HOME.tar.md5 (Spain - orange)
B5510CEKK1_B5510KPPKI2_B5510XXKK2_HOME.tar.md5 (Netherlands)
Note for Dutch users. The latest Spain firmware gives an altered layout for the keyboard. Mostly correct, but @ is under a different key and also a few others.
