I have an English-only Samsung Omnia Pro 5 smartphone and I have a problem with the 3.5mm jack producing quiet sounds when my earbud headset is plugged in, even with the phone volume maxed out through the volume buttons. I have tried tweaking the sound settings through dialing the phone codes according to what I Googled for but it still does not work and even did some registry tweaking via the freeware Total Commander app for the Windows Mobile non-touchscreen Smartphone platform. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my stereo wired earbud headset as I have tried it on another device and it works fine. I even used them in a Thai B6520 I had in the past with no problems before it was destroyed in an accident. Could this problem be due to the settings imposed by the firmware that can be rectified through the dial code settings or could it be due to a physical problem?
I look forward to hearing from anyone in this forum regarding this matter.
Thanks, Daniel
PS: I have just tried out the sound using a Bluetooth wireless headset I bought today and the sound comes out of the BT set perfectly.![]()

i would really love to get some help on this matter with regards to the B6520's 3.5mm headphone jack quiet sound issue being resolved via possible software tweak accessed via the samsung phone codes. thanks!
