Paps, what happened? The ROM I'm using works beautifully, though I must say not everyone I know has the same experience.

You need to download your Stock Gingerbread Firmware. To know your stock firmware, have you been able to have a screen shot of your

phone details which is located at the Settings/About phone and check the Kernel Version (when you were still in Gingerbread)? If not, I guess

you can download the stock firmware for your country.

Most likely, you didn't get a screenshot. Anyways, you can download the I9100DXKI2 (GB 2.3.3) which is the last of the GB Open Asia firmware. As an alternative, you may want to load it with I9100DXKL3 which is based on GB 2.3.6. You can choose any country that is near ours (i.e. Thailand, Singapore) and just change the CSC for either Globe, Smart or the generic one.

    4.0.4 is better.
If you are changing from gingerbread to ics or back, you need to Factory reset.
Do this before and after installing and you will have a trouble free phone.
WARNING: Install the emmc brickbug check app BEFORE you Factory Reset.
If you have the brickbug DO NOT Factory Reset.

You will need to flash a GB rom first so that you can factory reset before upgrading to 4.0.4.

DO NOT FACTORY RESET IN ICS IF YOU HAVE EMMC BUG.
