So here is the second part for my tutorial. First of all let me tell you what is there is CSC file.

First of all you will see two folders.

    1)CSCrcs

    2)CSCsfs

    Let's study about CSCrcs first.

Keep expanding folders till you see three more folders and you will find:

    1)Font

    2)IME

    3)String

In font you can find all the fonts used in your phone. Delete unnecessary ones which will eventually free some memory.

In IME you will find OPEuro which contains languages(keyboard and phone)

Will write how to add languages later as I am not sure. If anyone knows he is welcomed.

Third folder is Strings. It is not useful though you can change strings(text) of certain menus.

In my next post I am gonna write about the second folder in CSC. This is the best folder. Most of the modifications are done here.

In short it contains CSC Preconfig, SHP activation, Activating Call recorder and some more things.

Do give a vote of thanks and questions are welcomed.

Ok. I'll take for granted that you already know how to use trix or WaveRemaker. I'll show you how to activate front camera.

    Then:

    1. You have to replace Camera.so in ShpApps\SystemFS\Shp on your firm with the Camera.so existing in any KK5 firm (or any other before that had front camera activated)

    2. In ShpApps\SystemFS\Shp\Data there is a file named GeneralSoInfo.so.sig. Open it with Notepad. Now you have to copy Camera.so Signature on KK5 and replace the one in the firm you are customizing.

    Done!

    Best Regards!

Okay.. So, let's start. I have never used Trix because Wave Remaker does most of the things. Never felt a need for Trix. Point out if I am wrong.
Let's begin with How to use wave remaker.
Just download wave remaker. Then open it.
    You will see three windows.

Use.. Very simple. just drag any fw file from these:- CSC, SHP.app, FFS
You will see a dump running.
[ Login above or register to see download links. ]
Then you will see the files present in the fw file. I will post pictures as soon as I get time. I am one lazy ass. sorry!

You can see the files and folders of the fw file in the folder named "bada" where you have the wave remaker.

Just dump different files and you will find interesting stuff. Research is the best way to learn something new.

In my next post I will write what different files contain and how to:-
    1) Activate SHP
    2)Activate Call recorder
    3) GPS fix.
    4) System files and lot more.

hi harsh, I dumped SHP.app and added Piscel software folder which was available in another firmware i had downloaded. I saved the folder to the Application folder. Now how to I flash it to my wave so that i can use it. Can you guide me as u haven’t mentioned anything about it. Thanks in advance..:-)

Thanks Chetto. I'll do that for camera. I deleted the Orkut and My Music icon by changing the MenuIDType in MainMenu_Init from NativeURL to BookmarkURL. I wanted one more help though. I've added Java apps Opera Mini and Google Maps to main menu, but i don't want them to be seen in Java folder. How to do that?

I've been unable to do so. Both have to appear in both Java Folder and Main Menu.

If you wanna know how to set SHP, let me know. It's so easy

    Best Regards!

This might be a little bit more advanced...:

To my knowledge, there are certain MIDlet-icons already in the FW, f.e. Palringo, Opera Mini, NaviGate (Google Maps), Deezer. We can activate these and change the "links" (i.e. Midlet names) their connected to to our liking. This is how Nexus added the Opere Mini, Palringo, NaviGate links to his CFW.

Now, I what I want to do:
I want links to Facebook (MIDlet version) and DB Rail Navigator to the main menu (DB Rail Navigator is a popular app in germany for train schedules).

What I need to know for that:
    • What do I exactly have to do to add MIDlets to the main menu? Which files do I have to edit?
    • Is there possibly a way to customize even names and icons for links?
    • Besides Opera Mini, Palringo, NaviGate, Deezer, are there other "vacant places" where we can put MIDlet links?
