Red face Who wants to learn how to make a custom firmware?

    Dear People,
Some time ago when I was a n00b in custom fw's and I had posted regarding a tutorial but no one replied. With some research I successfully made a custom firmware. So, I just want to help people and which will eventually lead to more and more research in bada fw's. I am not gonna waste time if no one wants to learn. So, tell me who wants to learn and I will post a tutorial.
    Regards,
    Harsh.

Thank you! I'm especially interested in...
    • How to use Wave Remaker und Trix
    • What each single FW file (CSC, RC1, ...) contains (i.e. what is their purpose)
    • Which files (inside the FW files) to edit and what's possible to do with them

I found these two to be good sources already, and I want to know more:

Okay.. So, let's start. I have never used Trix because Wave Remaker does most of the things. Never felt a need for Trix. Point out if I am wrong.
Let's begin with How to use wave remaker.
Just download wave remaker. Then open it.
    You will see three windows.

Use.. Very simple. just drag any fw file from these:- CSC, SHP.app, FFS
You will see a dump running.

Then you will see the files present in the fw file. I will post pictures as soon as I get time. I am one lazy ass. sorry!

You can see the files and folders of the fw file in the folder named "bada" where you have the wave remaker.

Just dump different files and you will find interesting stuff. Research is the best way to learn something new.

In my next post I will write what different files contain and how to:-
    1) Activate SHP
    2)Activate Call recorder
    3) GPS fix.
    4) System files and lot more.

Maybe, you will have to use Google Translator, but I have a clear Tutorial in BadaSpain, where everebody in our forums has been adding their features. Take a look: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
