    HELP needed. Official Update GT-I5503 via Kies Automatically

    as the thread title says, i need help on fixing my VOICE CALL QUALITY.

    2 days ago, my GT-I5503 was running on stock android 2.1(eclair) until i finally decided to update it via KIES automatically.
    I was surprised that i had a android 2.2(froyo) update so i was eager to check the changes it did to my phone.

    CURRENT VERSION

    PDA: I5503DXJP8
    PHONE: I5503DXJP7
    CSC: I5503OLBJP7

    all other functions were working good except for the quality of voice during a call (GSM, mobile network).
    before the update i was enjoying the crisp and realistic sound of incoming and outgoing voice calls.
    after the update, im having low quality voice calls (like low bit rate audio).
    i am sure this is not due to the mobile network signal quality. Btw im from the philippines.
    HELP!

    You may wanna try to factory reset your phone after updating. Note that you'll lose your phone data so do a backup first.

    From my experience, the Asian firmware is laggy, not to mention the screen comes on by itself at times though the phone is still locked (which to me is quite annoying). You may want to try the European ROMs which are much more stable than our local counterpart.
