I can't update from Samsung galaxy kies
Hi, first of all I want to say hello to everybody becausethis is my first message.
I have some problems with updates. I have a MIUI ROM installed on my phone and now; when I install the original firmware for Orange in Spain 2.3.5. Kies don't allow me to update my phone using out. Then I instal 2.3.6 version with kies symbol but still having the same problem. Anyone know what I netted to do.

Why do you want to use Kies? Odin makes THE SAME job, even better.

Do a hard reset *2767*3855#
Then get the phone to the original CSC. Plugin to kies and you can update.
same problem here. Flashed ICS XXLPH on my not rooted stock telephone. Flashing it back to this I9100XWKI8_I9100OXXKI2_I9100XXKI4_HOME.tar and now Kies dont want to friend with my phone.Kies says that it dont support my phone for uppgrades and this text"I9100XWKI8/I9100OXXKI2/I9100XXKI4/I9100XWKI8(ODK)" What is this? Something that can be fixed? I am from Sweden and the phone is not branded. Have i flashed with the wrong firmware? I alredy done a hard reset.

Guys the problem is csc. Kies verify your region by csc so if you are coming from a custom rom than just slect your region csc from the preconfig. And you are good to go. Secondly its my personal suggestion rjay bever flash with kies instead use odin. Sometimes flashing with kies can softbrick your phone. Flashing with odin is easier and faster.

It's actually the combination of product code and hidswver that determine if you can use kies. Please try SpoofFw which can change to a valid combination, if you have root. Once changed kies will let you update.
Choose for instance the Swedish preset if you want the latest available version through Kies.

Fixed it now. Now Kies say my phone has an old version and wants me to download PDA KI4 PHONE KI1 CSC KH1(CPW). Is this the right version for Sweden? Whats (CPW) stand for?
All i did was flashing with this firmware I9100XWKE7_CPWKD1_XXKE4
CPW is car phone warehouse, a British operator. In other words, no, it's not correct. Go to the firmware page and get a Nordic or Swedish firmware. Or use SpoofFw...
