This would be just great.... Also, it should make porting Android so much easier. Or having an actually working Bada on our Waves :-).
yeah I did some research on this subject and finally bada 3.0 will release merge with tizen which is open source then since tizen is open source bada will indirectly become open source......its a long haul.....bada 3.0 has some hopes......I think the initial screen shots of bada 3.0 can be seen by a month from now according to my calculations.......

BADA 2.0 - Stop Criticizing... Start Appreciating....
@wave guru: I don't think that bada 3.0 will be released for older waves..... The way things are at samsung now they don't care about bada.........They are busy with their next big os i,e. TIZEN. I am afraid that samsung will stop bada if this continues and focus only on android and tizen....samsung sucks at software......really really sucks.... they don't know how to even program an UI properly....... they issue it has large projects to other companies......

Samsung, approaches divorce from Android?
The again. d. Kwon Oh-hyun, "Let's go to a proprietary operating system"
For the new CEO of Samsung Electronics the "mission" of the company is clear: to redouble their efforts on the software sector. Which could mean, in the short term, an abandonment of the Android operating system in favor of its owner.
A goal that has long pursued the South Korean manufacturer, since it has invested in proprietary operating system Bada order to better integrate hardware and software, then creating a number of devices sold only in select markets. The move has taken on added urgency after when Google, Android developer, has announced its plans to acquire Motorola. But the popularity of Android, now number one platform in the mobile industry, Samsung has so far hampered complete abandonment of this operating system.
However, the new boss Kwon Oh-hyun will give a further boost to investment in its proprietary software. "We must focus especially on providing new experiences and new value to customers by strengthening our capabilities in software," Kwon said yesterday (June 18) during his inaugural speech to employees - the Wall Street Journal. The new CEO has not revealed the figure that Samsung plans to spend to strengthen its software department, now, been relatively weak because most of its products continue to use Android. Mind you, in fact, has not been revealed until now very popular among international users.
Even the vice-president and general manager of enterprise sales, Tim Wagner, said that the new company's flagship product, the Galaxy S3 cell, "defragments systematically Android", making a further step in its intentions to move from simple "seller of Android 'to' vendor of smartphones" appreciated for its unique solutions.
In light of these declarations, there is a chance that in early May what has become the world's largest smartphone has acquired the services and mobile content provider mSpot American. The advantages of a maneuver of this kind, on the model of Apple's strategy, are obvious: a completely integrated with Samsung would give full control over every detail of their own devices, would reduce its dependence on outside companies, and would distinguish their products from many competitors using the same software.
The flip side is given by previous companies such as Research In Motion, Palm and Nokia, which has recently struggled to hold high the banners of their proprietary platforms, the first attempts to resist with their BlackBerry operating system, the the second is gone (bought by HP) while the third was forced (?) to upgrade to Windows Phone. But Samsung seems to have an advantage: he surpassed even Apple in worldwide sales of mobile phones. So, thanks to the experience already gained in the customization of Android with the TouchWiz interface, may now have the force of impact groped for a successful leap: give up the OS Google once and for all and focus exclusively on Bada . But is it the right move?
