Hello,
I have tried to active the phone as shown on the youtube video ([ Login above or register to see download links. ]).
I get an error message (several actually):
Code:
10:17:51 PM - Getting data from phone
10:17:53 PM - Phone Model: GT-I9100
10:17:53 PM - Current Firmware: ERROR
10:17:53 PM - MSL Serial: ERRORERROR
10:17:53 PM - Phone Imei: 000000000000000
10:17:53 PM - Reading NVM.. Please Wait (some minutes)..
10:21:14 PM - ERROR: Root bypass Failed. Try Again (len:0)
10:21:14 PM - Make sure phone is in Development mode
10:21:14 PM - Remark: if your phone runs android 2.3.x or higher you have to manualy root the phone first!, or you can also downgrade to an 2.2.x version witch you can get from SRS Support.
If your phone is manualy rooted and has superuser installed (SU) then select model ANDROID2.

The problem seems obvious, it can't read any information of the phone (the above is the actual text, not adapted by me in any way).
After I read this, I see my phone is turned off, and I have to turn it on again (which I can't unless I take the battery out first, btw!).
So I decided to follow the "remark" and try with ANDROID2, instead of i9100, using the same comport and modem port (in my case 5 and 7 it seems). I get this error message then:
Code:
10:36:56 PM - Getting data from phone
10:36:59 PM - Phone Model: GT-I9100
10:36:59 PM - Current Firmware: ERROR
10:36:59 PM - MSL Serial: ERRORERROR
10:36:59 PM - Phone Imei: 000000000000000
10:36:59 PM - Reading NVM.. Please Wait..
10:36:59 PM - If phone asks for root access you MUST accept this!
10:37:16 PM - Phone rebooted start decrypt...
10:37:17 PM - ERROR: Failed to find Simlock Block..
Please check if phone is locked, if locked sent dump file to SRS Support

Here something else happens: phone reboots, so naturally I check whether phone is unlocked (switch off, put simcard in, and switch on again); it is not. The dump file that I am supposed to send to SRS support is empty. It only has the following line written there: "Phone Data Dir" and that is it.
I assume something goes wrong in getting the port numbers right, so here is first question, how do I get the port numbers?
Second question, if this is not the problem, what do I do?
This is not a matter of wanting my money back (at least not yet), I want my phone unlocked.
To be sure, I have the phone rooted (according to several market apps), as well as USB debugging set ON.
Thank you,
Babrak
