How to root P1000 Froyo

Please tell me how to root my P1000 On froyo

• Download [ Login above or register to see download links. ], extract and install the driver!
• Turn on USB-Debugging (Settings>Applications>Development) and turn off your device!
• Enter Download-menu (Vol. down + Power button) and connect your device!
• open ODIN select PDA and choose the cwm.tar.md5! Click start, when it´s done close program and plug-off usb cable!
• Turn off USB-Debugging and plug-in usb cable once more!
• On your computer, go to the same root folder as before and transfer the zip file labeled "Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip" to your device. Don't put it inside any folder.
• Power off device and enter recovery mode (Vol. down + Power button, then vol. down + vol. up)
• You should see that you are in ClockworkMod Recovery. If not, start over
• Use the volume buttons to highlight "Install zip from SD card" and hit the Power button to select it.
• Use the volume buttons to highlight "Choose zip from SD card" and hit the Power button to select it.
• Use the volume buttons to highlight "Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip" and hit the Power button to select it.
• Use the volume buttons to highlight "Yes - Install..." and hit the Power button to select it.
• When it finishes, the last line should say "Install from sdcard complete."
• Use the volume buttons to highlight "*****Go Back*****" and hit the Power button to select it.
• Hit the Power button to select "reboot system now"
• Your device will reboot

hi, my new galaxy tab gt p1000 froyo 2.2 crashed. it is not getting connected to wifi. i saw in many websites that the first step is to root the device. i found the steps here but the given link for downloading and installing is dead. pl help.
