Cannot write in to SD card (Galaxy Note3 Kitkat 4.4.2).
I live in Thailand.
Galaxy Note3 (SM-N900) was updated to Kitkat4.4.2 yesterday.
When updating, it became impossible to write in a micro SD card.
New holder addition, file copy & paste, delete, and an application backup etc. cannot be performed.
Both are not made although checked by ES file manager and the ASTRO file manager.
But the photo taken with the standard camera can be saved on SD card.
Was the permission method to SD card changed?
Doesn't someone know the solution?

I have the same problem, I can only write to the SD card if I take it out of the phone and do it with my computer.

If ES File Explorer File Manager (January 29, 2014 update) is used, it is possible in edit of a file.
So far the only way is to root and change the permission, you can check XDA Developers forum and the way is listed, however this method will bit your Knox warranty for sure, the other way is to wait till samsung rolls out a fix update for this issue as no one reported this issue unless updated via Odin not OTA

Found in xda and tested in my N900, work perfect.
1. Using a root-enabled file manager, navigate to /system/etc/permissions
2. Edit platform.xml and find the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
3. Add an additional group definition for this permission...<group gid="media_rw" />
4. Save the changes to the file.
Thanks, found this solution some time ago, but I don't want to root the phone and void the warrenty. It's only a couple of weeks old.
