i had some problem after downgrade from4.0.3 to 2.3.6:
1. freeze at locked screen, over 15seconds, make me can't answer a call.
2. proximity and brightness sensor sometimes not working, then heat at part around front camera.
3. sensor which nearest front camera blink as red light during boot screen.
4. heat during above problems occurs.

i tested *#0*#,sensor working during normal, but if start heat, it force close and hang.
i try XXKH3, XXKI3, DXKL3,no pi or with pit, reset code with *2767*3855# after flash
but still can't solve.
it is hardw problem? i try flash gingerbread old bootloader and new boot loader.
all flash process pas and no fail. problem still.

If gallery freezes when you want to change a wallpaper, try doing this ...
Settings - Developer options - Untick Force GPU rendering - Reboot.

Worked for me.

One day??? My device shut down after 8 hours with battery calibration. Without only 6 hours :`(

Could someone confirm that when you choose the Greek language there is the Greek alphabet on the right side of contacts?
There is very importance for me because I have 700 contacts.

This is the reason of my misterious wallpaper issue...
yes , GPU rendiring is the root couse....

I also suspect that there are some memory leaks ...
yesterday I have seen over 600mb in use without any backgrund tasks or alot of widgets.. etc...

I restarted the phone and now is is around 400mb in use.

Thanks DannyD for the upload. I've tested it for a few days and I have 2 observations:

I can't set alarm, and it uses more battery power.
