First TIZEN device confirmed by Samsung

At Samsung’s own UAPROF systems Samsung confirmed the GT-I8805. The GT-I8805 runs TIZEN 2.1 and has a screen resolution of 720×1280 which is HD. There currently is a TIZEN conference ongoing in America. Samsung expect to introduce the first TIZEN device in July. TIZEN is based on HTML5 and completely open source. TIZEN must be Samsung’s first or second in line operating system after Android. The combination between Samsung and Android OS is excellent. We can’t to see the first TIZEN device from Samsung. We expect a better build and good specifications to boost the OS.

Samsung Galaxy S4 hits 10 million milestone

Samsung sold over 10 million times the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s fastest Samsung device ever! There was only one month needed for Samsung to sell 10 million Galaxy S4 devices. Samsung expect to sell over 50 million times the Galaxy S4.

At Samsung we’ll continue to pursue innovation inspired by and for people,” said JK Shin, CEO and President of the IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4 in March. The Galaxy S4 features a stunning 5″ Full HD Super AMOLED display panel, an Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, a Tri-Core PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, (or a Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.9GHz and Adreno 320 GPU, depending on the market) and 2GB of RAM. The device has a 13MP camera which capable of shooting up to Full HD 1080p videos at 30FPS and a 2.1MP front facing camera which is capable of shooting up to Full HD 1080p videos, as well.

The Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s new TouchWiz UX 2.0 out of the box. The device also includes Samsung’s Smart Features: Smart Stay, Smart Pause, Smart Scroll and Smart Pause, Air Gestures, S Voice, S Health and S Translator.

Samsung is planning to introduce more color variations to meet various consumer tastes and preferences. In addition to the currently available White Mist and Black Forest, new color iterations will be added this summer, including Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn.

Is Tizen 2.1 ready for public release?

The Tizen Developers Conference has started today in San Francisco and according to Tizen Indonesia, Samsung and Intel are ready to launch Tizen 2.1 which has been developed under the codename Nectarine. Tizen Indonesia is also reporting that the platform is almost ready for public release and that a Samsung Electronics official has confirmed today to Korean media that they are preparing to launch the first Tizen phone in the third quarter of this year in Europe and in Japan (which will be in July).

The expectation is that Tizen 2.1 (Nectarine) will be unveiled tomorrow at a keynote by Imad Sousou (GM of Intel Open Source Technology Center, and Intel Co-Chair on the Tizen Technical Steering Group) and Jong-Deok Choi (Executive VP Samsung, and Samsung Co-Chair on the Tizen Technical Steering Group).

Tizen Indonesia is also reporting that Tizen will have a unique and fresh looking user interface, which will have several new features.

As we already know Samsung will launch the first Tizen phone with the best available hardware to gain interest of consumers, developers and partners.

Brown Galaxy S4 spotted

SamMobile user QLiono spotted the brown version of the Galaxy S4. As we all know Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4 in Black and White or Black Mist and White Frost… Last week the blue variant of the Galaxy S4 showed up with the official name Blue Arctic. Today the brown version showed up in Samsung’s own video Hi Hey Hello. You can spot the Galaxy S4 brown at 1:08.

HOT: Samsung prepares fingerprint protection

Apple isn’t the only OEM which is testing fingerprint protection. Today SamMobile received a tip mail regarding Samsung’s finger print tracking system. Inside the leaked firmware of the Galaxy S3 Samsung forgot to remove some tested application files. Our tipper ripped out the Galaxy S3 firmware and found this information within the SecSettings.apk. SecSettings\res\drawable-hdpi. Inside the map there was a lot of images. We think Samsung will bring future smartphones with finger print protection on the home button as one of the pictures shows off. View images below and let us know what you think!

Smart phone users can simplify the safe settlement process with OTP (One Time Password) certification after the credit card number and PIN number are registered.

Kernel source for Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9205) has been released

Samsung has just released Galaxy Mega 6.3′s kernel source. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is not even on the market, yet, but soon will be released in various countries and as always Samsung has released the device’s kernel source before the device itself. The good this is that as soon as some developers get their hands on the Galaxy Mega 6.3, they will easily be able to improve their custom ROMs and develop custom kernels for the device. The release of the kernel source also indicates that we will receive first Galaxy Mega 6.3′s firmwares very soon.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active leaked

Today a tipper reported to gsmarena.com about the Galaxy S4 Active. The Galaxy S4 Active uses almost th same specifications as the Galaxy S4. Only the camera has been downgraded to 8 megapixel. The Galaxy S4 Active is dust and water resistant version of the Galaxy S4. Samsung will announce the device this month. The device self will go on sale from end next month. The device build looks to be metal with hardware buttons on the front. View the images below.
