UK mobile operator EE has today launched Wi-Fi calling feature on supported hardware, and guess what? The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge already support this feature. If you get poor cellular signals inside your home or office, you can make use of EE's Wi-Fi calling feature, and make calls or send texts effortlessly.

You don't have to download or install any additional app to use this feature, as EE has implemented this feature in such a way that you can use the phone's normal dialer to use Wi-Fi calling. This way, not only tech savvy people, but also normal consumers can use this feature. EE's pay monthly and small business customers with compatible devices, which also includes Microsoft Lumia 640, can use this feature starting April 10. Corporate 4GEE customers can start using this feature from this summer.

Olaf Swantee, CEO of EE, said, “Losing coverage at home is a major frustration, and WiFi Calling will make a real difference to millions of customers across the UK, from basement flats in London to the most rural homes in the country. Our customers want to be able to call and text no matter where they are, and they don't want to have to think about which app they need to use or if their friends have a particular third party service.
