recap-feature

There’s a lot of stuff that happens in the mobile industry, something that is especially true when it comes to giants like Samsung. If you missed out on some (or all) of what happened in the last 24 hours or so, well, here’s a recap of all the big things that went down.

Samsung gave us a detailed insight on its new WQHD (2560×1440) display, which debuted on the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. Reports surfaced of a major robbery at one of Samsung’s Brazilian factories, with criminals absconding with $36 million worth of products including phones and tablets, and of Samsung’s new Android Wear smartwatch having an issue with its charging mechanism.

Here’s the full rundown:

As usual, a lot of devices got general firmware updates as well, so here’s a list of all the updates that rolled to Samsung devices yesterday (as always, you can download all these firmware and more from our firmware section):

One comment on “SamMobile Recap: WQHD Super AMOLED explained, Samsung factory robbed, and more

In addition to the frequent listing of device software updates I suggest Sammobile.com also include those devices which have been conspicuously absent from theses update lists. For example, on February 18, 2014 Samsung issued a press release detailing many products that would be receiving KitKat updates in the “coming weeks and months”. It is now just 10 days short of five months since that press release and a number of the devices on that list are still waiting for the KitKat update, including the initial high-end tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1.
