SamMobile Recap: Galaxy Tab S firmware and features, funny Galaxy S5 ads, and more

There’s a lot of stuff that happens in the mobile industry, something that is especially true when it comes to giants like Samsung. If you missed out on some (or all) of what happened in the last 24 hours or so, well, here’s a recap of all the big things that went down.

The first official firmware for the Galaxy Tab S, Samsung's yet-unannounced AMOLED tablet lineup, showed up online ahead of the tablet's launch, and as a result, we were able to confirm some features such as a fingerprint sensor and Ultra Power Saving Mode. Samsung released an infographic to help make it easier to decide which of the three Gear smartwatches would be best for a consumer, and also put out three new Galaxy S5 ads, which drove home the point about some of the S5's features in a quirky and funny manner.

    Here’s the full rundown:

As usual, a lot of devices got firmware updates as well, so here’s a list of all the updates that rolled to Samsung devices yesterday (as always, you can find all the firmware you need in our firmware section):
