One-Handed mode from Galaxy Note 3 ported to the Galaxy S4

With a 5.7-inch screen, the Galaxy Note 3 is one of the largest smartphones you can buy in the market today. To make it easier to operate with one hand, Samsung offers a one-handed operation feature, which downsizes all content on the screen and allows customizing its scale and position. But one-handed operation is something that can be troublesome even on 5-inch devices like the Galaxy S4, and now, for those with rooted devices, the one-hand operation mode from the Note 3 can be used on Samsung's 2013 Galaxy S flagship as well.

The feature has been ported by a user on the XDA forums, and it is said to work on all screens, including the lockscreen, keyboard, and basically anything that you run on the device. The port currently requires a device running deodexed firmware and having root access, but those who have a Galaxy S4 meeting those criteria, installing the one-handed operation mode is as simple as downloading and moving a few files to the system partition on the phone.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was one of the devices to have allegedly engaged in such behavior. Unsurprisingly, a lawsuit was […]
