Galaxy Round with its curved display compared with Galaxy Note 3 on video

Well, we're all still recovering from Samsung's announcement of the Galaxy Round, the world's first smartphone with a flexible display that curves in directions we weren't expecting it to, so why not take a look at nice little video Samsung has put together to showcase the device? It's not a full hands-on, but the video shows the Galaxy Round from every angle, and also compares it side-by-side with the Galaxy Note 3, with which it shares all its hardware.

While the Galaxy Round looked odd in the leaked press shot, it doesn't look at all bad now that we've gotten an official glimpse of it (though Martin still thinks its rather ugly). The display curves from the left and right side of the handset and looks pretty similar to the Galaxy Note 3, though there are a few differences – the loudspeaker is on the right side instead of the bottom as on the Note 3, and it looks just a tad thicker in the bottom center.

The video also shows what looks like a manufacturing defect, or something that's a result of the display being curved, though we hope it's not there in the final product. We'll leave it to you to find out what that defect is while you watch the video below.
