Samsung officially announced the GALAXY S III Mini
In August SamMobile started with the first rumours about the new GALAXY S III Mini. Today Samsung officially announced the new GALAXY S III Mini.
The GALAXY S III Mini is the little brother of the GALAXY S III.
Samsumg used the same style of build for this device. The GALAXY S III Mini isn’t that special but for a new mid end device it will be good enough.
The GALAXY S III Mini uses a 4″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800. Some other specifications are a 5 megapixel camera, 1Ghz dual-core processor and the latest version of Android (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean).
Samsung poured their own interface called Touch Wiz interface on it and this device is NFC enabled.
The new GALAXY S III Mini comes in 2 colors namely white and blue. The advice price is around the 400 euro.
The phone will be available by the first week of November.

It makes sense. If you like the S3 form factor and features but do not like the big size and price then the S3 Mini is just right.

S ADVANCE is also going to get the JB in next few months as Samsung published b4, and its cost is like middle range phone, say Rs. 18,000 in India.
S3 Mini costs about Rs. 27,000 in India, only to satisfy thirst of name S3 should we igive such high amount?

It’s true, it is a lot less than the original Galaxy S3, e.g. lower display resolution and no 4G.
But I know it has most of the features the S3 has, like the Motion feature: Direct call, Smart alert, etc.
It’s still a nice phone IMO: 4″Super Amoled display, dual core, NFC, . . . and a nicer price.
Compare this to the former ‘Mini’s: the Galaxy mini and Glaxy mini 2 (resp. S5570 and S6500).
Those had small TFT screens with resolution of 240×320 and 320×480, and just 600 or 800 MHz single core processor.
Maybe we expected too much from the S3 Mini . . . . . . ?

Sorry. forgot, and can’t edit the previous message . . . .
I would prefer this S3 Mini over the Galaxy S Advance, because of the S3 Mini’s extra features.
