American Airlines to give Galaxy Note to 17,000 Flight Attendants
American Airlines yesterday confirmed to have selected Galaxy Note as part of their inflight tablet program. Later this year, AA will equip its 17,000 flight attendants with Samsung’s original Galaxy Note that will allow them to use it as a strategic tool.

Attendants will be able to use the device to access customer information uch as name, seat number and loyalty program status in a seat map view and customer list view; record meal and beverage preferences for premium class customers; easily identify high-value customers seated in the premium cabins and in the main cabin and customers requiring special assistance; and provide customers with connecting gate, flight delays and weather information – pending FAA approval.
AA says they selected Galaxy Note after months of testing with other tablets and feedback from their flight attendants.

Is it the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Note 10.1?

I think the statement ‘original galaxy note’ pretty much tells us exactly what they are getting…

THAT’s why the flight prices are so high!!! The passengers have to pay for the luxuriosly toys the flight staff is playing with, fighting the boring and never ending overseas flights.YIKES!

So… does that mean it is OK for us to use our phones in flight now?
On another Note, good on Samsung – yet more evidence they are doing good shit…
