Tizen has reached the beta stage

Today The Tizen Association has announced that their Tizen OS has reached the Beta stage. From today the beta source code and the SDK are available to download from their website. They are encouraging developers to work with the SDK, so that they can provide feedback what can be used to improve the OS. Before they will reach the final stage of development. The Tizen Association is targeting on a final release of their platform in Q2.

Unfortunately they haven’t showed any devices running on the beta version of the platform. Even Samsung hasn’t showed anything what’s Tizen related. But it is most likely that they will release a Tizen based device, which could be the GT-I9500 which we already know from the previous SDK.

To download the beta source code and the SDK, we suggest you visit the Tizen website.

Below you can find some pictures which are from the previous SDK (Special thanks to Realnorth.net)

I’ve never cared less about anything in my life. Make a stock non-laggy Android ROM for your line up instead of this bull****.

as a developer i was more than happy to see the first stages of the decline of browsers and html. over a decade ago they made the stupid decision to stuff all sorts of media into a text-only-format that wasn’t laid out for it. we’re still paying daily since they have effectively blocked and stalled the webs progress. web today is yeaaaaarrrrsssss behind, it’s slow, buggy, non-interactive, dirty, ugly, it’s a mess. html is a lame ineffective language, not capable of the simplest of things, js is a hell only usable with extensive bug-libraries like jq, php’s vomiting out data mushed into design-markup without the slightest databinding, killing 90% bandwidth for nothing, almost impossible to manage since their so-called “standard” is changing forms each day.

apps were a blessing, FINALLY web can be what technology allows today. now what is wrong with these people and those over at mozilla to push their standardless (and it won’t see a standard officially until 2025) bad joke of a plattform on the smartphone market? why would anyone use a friggin browser to do stuff on a smartdevice, everything else runs a bazillion times faster, has real interaction, connectivity, shared content, centralized push-messages, etc. why would anyone would like to have html5 with teeny-weeny canvas elements and div-madness, driven by javascript? and my goodness, the sheer overhead of running a local server, having a monster of an engine to make sense of no-sense markup, layers over layers to push data through bottlenecks. are they crazy in their heads? is the whole world crazy promoting html5 for the “web’s future,” do people not see how ****ty their “web” is, have they never used facebook, youtube, myspace, wikipedia, and a hundreds of other pages that look worse, run slower and have less functionallity than programs we had lifetimes before???
